NCFL welcomes Dr. Dana Suskind and Yolie Flores for upcoming webinar

Throughout our history, NCFL’s Family Learning programs have provided fertile soil for parenting adults and students to develop literacy and leadership skills. Out of our legacy work, we’ve developed Family Leadership initiatives and partnerships that are designed to support families in becoming better-engaged advocates for themselves, their children, their families, and communities. In this webinar, we’ll share how we’ve teamed up with Parent Nation to deliver a family leadership curriculum for parents to come together and push for positive change in their communities.

Family Leadership, Building a Parent Nation, Thursday, Feb. 16 3pm ET

Dr. Dana Suskind and Yolie Flores will join us Feb. 16 to share the importance of building a parent nation—that is, a society that shares in the responsibility of raising children. Dr. Suskind will discuss the ideas and recommendations at the heart of her book, “Parent Nation: Unlocking Every Child’s Potential, Fulfilling Society’s Promise.” Yolie Flores will discuss the Building a Parent Nation campaign and the Parent Village tools and resources developed to equip parents, caregivers, and allies to mobilize and advocate for a parent nation.
