Research strand added to sessions for 21st National Conference on Family Literacy

For the first time, a National Conference on Family Literacy Conference Proceedings will be published for accepted research strand presentations and accompanying papers.

NCFL is currently accepting proposals for concurrent sessions during our 21st National Conference on Family Literacy from March 25 to 27, 2012 in San Diego, California. Due to the recent addition of the research strand, we are extending the deadline for session proposals to Friday, October 14, 2011.

Research strand presentations (one-hour sessions) and papers should be based on the author’s research with a focus on teaching, learning, instruction of and collaboration with adults and/or children in the context of family literacy or family-focused learning. NCFL has a wide audience, primarily practitioners; therefore, authors should emphasize implications for practitioners as well as for research.

Accepted proposals will be notified by November 15, 2011. Papers must adhere to the stated specifications and must be submitted electronically by 5:30 p.m. PST February 15, 2012. Research presentations are contingent on submission of a paper.

Learn more about the specifications for research presentations, and then submit your proposal today! Remember, the deadline for both research proposals and general proposals is now Friday, October 14, 2011.
